We offer personally guided tours for larger groups (10 or more) by appointment. We usually need several weeks notice to accommodate a booking.

We can offer you a standard tour or one tailored to your tastes and interests (such as architecture, Civil War history, Women's history, Church history, Jewish history, African-American history...).
Beverly Tetterton was a research librarian in the North Carolina Room at the New Hanover County Public Library for 31 years. She was a pioneer in digital archives, creating the first in North Carolina. She has served on the Boards of the Historic Wilmington Foundation, the Bellamy Mansion Museum, Federation of North Carolina Historical Societies, North Carolina Genealogical Society, and the Old New Hanover Genealogical Society. She has chaired the Historic Wilmington Foundation’s House Plaque Committee for 30 years. Few people know more about Wilmington's history than Beverly.
Dan Camacho is Beverly's partner in Java Dog Press & Wilmington.tours. He has a passion for history and backgrounds in technology and writing and has lived in Wilmington for over a decade. Dan has served on the boards of the Historic Wilmington Foundation and Residents of Old Wilmington.
